Former Dean Of Women At Fisk University Juliette Derricotte Was A Member Of Delta Sigma Theta
Did you know that black educator Juliette Derricotte was a member of Delta Sigma Theta? Derricotte pledged the New York Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Juliette Derricotte was born in Athens, Georgia. She had a drive for education that led her to Talladega college. She earned a scholarship to the institution for her exceptional public speaking skills. In 1929 she became the Dean of Women at Fisk University.

Derricotte was an active Delta Sigma Theta member. She was heavily involved in the first graduate chapter of the sorority. After she passed away, Delta established a scholarship in her honor.
