Atlanta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Awards Brothers and Scholars in Tribute to John Lewis

The brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.’s Kappa Alpha Sigma Chapter in Atlanta honored the legacy of civil rights icon and fraternity brother John Lewis this past weekend with a celebration rooted in service, scholarship, and community impact. The chapter recognized standout members for their leadership and commitment, continuing the spirit of “Good Trouble” that Lewis championed throughout his life.
During the event, several brothers received chapter honors: the President’s Award went to Bro. Gary Granderson; the Unsung Hero Award to Bro. L. Hobbs; and the Rising Star Award to Bro. Brian Pauling. Directors Awards were also presented to Bro. Dr. Sinclair Grey (BBB), Bro. Corey Sapp (SBC), Bro. Dr. Desmond Coble (Education), and Bro. Phillip Nelson (Social Action). The celebration also highlighted the next generation of Sigma leadership as scholarships were awarded to Bro. Cashun Barr, Bro. Sean Kang, and Bro. Jaiden Blackwell.

Through recognition, mentorship, and investment in young leaders, the chapter continues to strengthen the communities John Lewis dedicated his life to uplifting.
