Iota Phi Theta Brothers Nationwide to Gather in Cleveland to Celebrate Inauguration of 24th Grand Polaris

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. is ushering in a new era of leadership as it prepares to inaugurate its 24th International Grand Polaris and Executive Leadership Team on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This historic celebration will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, the hometown of incoming Grand Polaris Brother Orlando Grant, marking a powerful homecoming and a defining moment in the fraternity’s 62-year history.

Brother Orlando Grant, a 30-Year Life Member of Iota Phi Theta, was elected during the fraternity’s 40th International Conclave held this past July in Indianapolis. His installation as Grand Polaris represents not just the start of a new administration, but the recognition of three decades of service, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to Iota and its mission.

Joining Brother Grant at the helm of this new chapter are:

  • Brother Eric McCoy as International Grand Vice Polaris
  • Brother Anthony Harden as International Grand Treasurer
  • Brother Brian Love as International Grand Secretary

Together, this team brings over a century of combined experience and a unified vision for the future, one grounded in strategic growth, community uplift, and a deeper global footprint for Iota Phi Theta.

This sold-out inauguration will gather more than 250 Iotas from around the world, including nine former Grand Polari, the full Board of Directors, and the International Grand Council. Leaders from fellow Divine Nine organizations and Social Service Organizations will also be in attendance, reaffirming Iota’s strong ties and respect across the Black Greek-letter community.

The evening will feature a special live performance from R&B legend Case, adding a celebratory flair to a night filled with culture, legacy, and reflection. Hosted by the Beta Lambda Omega Alumni Chapter of Cleveland, Brother Grant’s home chapter, the event is set to spotlight Iota’s deep community roots and the fraternity’s ongoing impact both locally and internationally.

As the fraternity turns the page and charts its next course, this inauguration is more than ceremonial. It is a reaffirmation of Iota Phi Theta’s commitment to Black brotherhood, leadership, and global service, a legacy that continues to grow with every administration.
