Zeta Phi Beta Members Feed 300 Doctors and Nurses at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn

Even though the quarantine has stopped many things across the nation it has not stopped the community service of the members of Zeta Phi Beta.
Recently members of the Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. teamed up with chef Premo Sanders to cater a dinner for 300 doctors, nurses and health care workers in the Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
The Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta serves Brooklyn, NY which happens to be one of the epicenters of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent reports have shown that African-Americans are disproportionately affected by this virus and Mayor de Blasio has identified East New York where the Brookdale Hospital is located as a high-risk area.

“The tireless efforts of Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center and One Brooklyn Health System at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center essential workers to contain the public health emergency ravaging the Brooklyn community is both valiant and outstanding,” the chapter wrote in an email. “These brave men and women show up daily to care for their patients at personal risk to themselves and their families. So let’s spread love the Brooklyn way and support these dedicated front-line workers by taking care of their basic needs.”

We at Watch The Yard would like to commend the sorors of the Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta for their work and commitment to their community.
Share this on Facebook if you think this deserves to go VIRAL!
