Black Fraternity and Sorority Members Represent Their Orgs While Running a Marathon in Antarctica

On January 29, 2020, history was made when twenty-seven African Americans traveled to Antarctica to race the White Continent Marathon.
This was the largest group of African Americans to step foot on the continent. Braving the cold, wind, rain and hills, they left their mark in history. The group calls themselves “The BlackIcee Project”.

Represented in this group were nine members of the Divine Nine. Jen Mason of Zeta Phi Beta and C Stephen Lake (@rtippinmywunderlust) of Delta Sigma Theta, both completed their 7-continent challenge in Antarctica for running a marathon on every continent!
Other Divine Nine members include Edith Kelley Green and Yolanda Holloway Stevens (@fame1908) of Alpha Kappa Alpha, McKenley Mason (@dis.deacon.runs) of Phi Beta Sigma, Aprille Moore (@iamaprillemoore), Estelle Rutledge (@stellarut) and TraLisa King of Delta Sigma Theta.

We at Watch The Yard would like to congratulate these brothers and sisters on their achievements!
