The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Just Chartered the First Black Fraternity Chapter at Pepperdine University
After a 4-year long effort, the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha have made history by chartering the first NPHC fraternity at Pepperdine University.
The Upsilon Chi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated is the first NPHC fraternity to be chartered on the campus of Pepperdine University, an evangelical PWI in southern California.
The effort was championed by best-selling author of the book THE DIVINE NINE: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities, Bro. Lawrence Ross, who is now one of the chapter’s advisors.
