Alpha Phi Alpha is Hiring these Two Leadership Positions at its Corporate Headquarters in Baltimore
Alpha Phi Alpha’s corporate office in Baltimore recently announced that it is looking to fill two leadership positions.
According to the announcement, the Fraternity is looking to hire an Assistant Executive Director for Marketing and Public Relations who will also serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Sphinx and also an Associate Executive Director and Senior Development Officer.

Assistant Executive Director for Marketing and Public Relations, Editor-in-Chief of the Sphinx

The assistant executive director for marketing and communications has oversight and responsibility for establishing, leading, and managing marketing, communications, and branding efforts on behalf of the fraternity. The assistant executive director will coordinate the strategic creation of a marketing and communications strategy and have oversight for all operational and administrative marketing functions of the Marketing and Public Relations Department and the respective staff. In addition, the assistant executive director will also coordinate crisis communication and assist in developing effective organizational communication strategies and initiatives. The assistant executive director will have oversight for all social media and public relations efforts and coordinate the department’s role in writing and editing periodic fraternity magazines, newsletters, brochures, convention calls, press releases, and other publications on an as-needed basis. The assistant executive director also coordinates with graphic artists, printers, advertisers, and other contracted vendors as needed.
Associate Executive Director and Senior Development Officer

The associate executive director reports directly to the executive director and assists with the daily operational management of the corporate headquarters office and its departmental and operational functions. This senior level leadership position is also responsible for supporting the activities and programs of the fraternity, which includes managing committee-related functions and supporting collaborative efforts with fraternity committees, national program partners, and foundations. The associate executive director assists the executive director with recommendations that advance the effectiveness of corporate headquarter’s functions and participates in the formulation of new staff and office policies. Managerial responsibilities include assisting with the supervision, management, and professional development of corporate office staff; leading program planning administration and assessment; and identifying opportunities to maintain a work environment and culture that attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse group of talented, high-quality personnel.
