The Alpha Chapter of Iota Phi Theta has been making some major moves. They recently created a $100,000 endowment for Morgan State University with their alumni chapter and now they are making moves to help students individually.
In October, the chapter held an event entitled “Fall into Success” where they helped Morgan State students find internship and job opportunities. To do this they invited top companies such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Travelers, and Target, all companies that recruit students straight out of college.
We at WatchTheYard.com spoke with their chapter’s president, Matthew Reeds, who told us that the event also included a student intern panel, which provided advice to students to acquiring internship opportunities.
With all of the students who are leaving college nowadays without jobs, we think this event was a perfect way to help the student body that these Iotas work to serve.
