Alpha Phi Alpha Brothers Create Back-To-School Drive For Public School Students in Springfield, Massachusetts
The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha in Springfield, Massachusetts are getting kids the things they need to start their school year off right!
The Springfield Alphas of the Theta Iota Lambda Graduate Chapter recently hosted their 2nd annual Lee B. Revels Foundation Bowling For A Cause Event. It was fundraiser for scholarships and included a back-to-school drive.
According to the brothers, their back-to-school drive successfully gathered a lot of school supplies donations and the local news even came and covered the event.
The event brought out local families and Black fraternity and sorority members in the area. The brothers have received a good amount of donations already but they are still taking donations. All school supplies will be donated to Springfield, Massachusetts Public Schools.
“The event was and will always be dedicated to the youth who march onward and upward,” one of the brothers wrote Watch The Yard.
