The men of Alpha Phi Alpha raised money for March Of Dimes on Saturday with their third annual West Louisville Fun Run 5K in Louisville, KY.
The event was hosted by the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and took place at Shawnee Park with an attendance of almost 100 runners.
The event also included a health fair before the race which helped the events cause of helping to educate people about healthy living. “The goal of this program is to empower community members to elevate their quality of life through engaging in healthy lifestyle practices,” the event’s website stated.
“This is great. I get to give back to my community, you get to exercise and give back to the community,” runner Toya Ballenger told WLKY who did a story on the event. “My own daughter was a preemie so I am very glad they are donating to the March of Dimes for this event.”
