On Friday December 9th, Wesley Carter, a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha proposed to his Alpha Kappa Alpha girlfriend, Myeshia Burchett, at her nurse pinning graduation ceremony at Middle Tennessee State University in front of everyone, right as she was walking off the stage.

Wesley is a Fall 14 initiate of the Kappa Xi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha and Myeshia is a Fall 13 initiate of the Eta Psi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.
