Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorors in Birmingham Release ‘A Seat at the Table’

The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham recently released a video to kick off the new year and promote their service efforts around campus.
The video, which is entitled A Seat at the Table highlights the women of the Iota Phi chapter of the sorority and encourages women across campus to take a seat at the table.
“The table is a symbol of strength, power, strategy, and influence. It is a symbolic environment that fosters success and prosperity. We should empower collegiate women everywhere to take their seat at the table in 2018,” the narrator of the video states. “Whether the table is related to academics, physical or mental health, social well-being or career goals.”
The video shows the women of the chapter doing community service around campus and working together.
