Alpha Kappa Alpha Helps Distribute 700 Supply-Filled School Bags And Braid 135 Girls Hair In Bermuda
The AKAs are doing it BIG all around the world when it comes to service!
This week the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., teamed up to help out with the Caines Brothers & Five Star Barber Back to School Extravaganza in Bermuda. This event was held to help alleviate the financial burden that families on the island have at the start of the school year where they are required to buy their children school supplies.
For the event the AKAs teamed up to distribute 700 supply-filled schoolbags, and give 425 boys haircuts as well as get a whopping 135 girls’ hair braided.
