These AKAs Did A Maternity Photoshoot With Their Pregnant Soror And The Pictures Are Absolutely Stunning

The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha have done it again!

One of their sorors was expecting, so a group of her close friends who are all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. came together and did a photoshoot with her that belongs on the front cover of a magazine.

The soror who is expecting (@travelingqueen_) is a physician and the photos were shot by her husband (@worldtravelingq), a professional photographer who is a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

“When we did the shoot we had no ideas that the photos would turn out the way they did,” one of the sorors who was in the photo told Watch The Yard in an email. “The images are powerful! Positive black images. Positive female images. Also, They truly represent motherhood and the family unit. ‘It takes a village.'”

The photos speak for themselves, the child will be surrounded by a circle of powerful, loving, caring and beautiful women. Much respect to Jemia Young who organized the shoot.
