There is nothing like the love between an AKA and an Alpha!
We at Watch The Yard recently came across yet another great Black fraternity/sorority Save The Date video and we knew that we had to post it ASAP! The groom in the video, Chris, is a Spring 08 initiate of the Xi Xi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha and the bride, Deidra, is a Fall 2011 initiate of the Lambda Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha. The couple met at Jacksonville State University in Alabama.
According to their wedding website,
“Deidra and Chris first met in Spring 2008 on the campus of Jacksonville State University by Houston Cole Library. Chris was so numb to her beauty, he didn’t even get a chance to say hi. A few years later Deidra and Chris met again with the help of a mutual friend. This was the first time Chris actually said hi. Chris and Deidra’s friendship started that night, from small sweet Direct Messages on social media to small sweet conversation through text message. Chris and Deidra spent a lot of time getting to know each other and the rest is History…”
The video which was shot by Media Reflections, shows both the classy and the turnt up sides of the couple and we simply love it. Make sure to watch until the end to see their stroll to surprise!
