Are you ready for the new Spike Lee joint?
Spike Lee just released the trailer for his new movie “Chiraq” which is set to be released next month.
The film centers around gang violence by men in some of Chicago’s neighborhoods, based on the Greek comedy “Lysistrata,” by Aristophanes. In the story the women of the city deciding that they are going to withhold sex via the pledge “I will deny rights of access and entrance” until the men put their guns down and stop the violence.
The trailer showcases Teyonah Paris from the movie Dear White People, who stars as Lysistrata, along with Samuel L. Jackson, Dave Chappelle Nick Cannon and John Cusack.
Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate are teaming up with Amazon to release the film on Dec. 4, followed by a release on Amazon Instant Video.
