Iota Phi Theta Founder Lonnie C. Spurill Jr. Just Became a Master Mason

Iota Phi Theta’s official instagram account announced today that fraternity founder Lonnie C. Spurill Jr. is now a Master Mason.
The Fraternity took to social media posting a graphic of their founder which was followed by glowing support and congratulations from members and non-members across the nation.
“We would like to congratulate Most Honorable Founder, Lonnie C. Spruill Jr. who is now a Master Mason of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland. Thank you to MW Noel C. Osborne Jr. Grand Master, for bestowing such an Honor on our Beloved Founder,” the fraternity captioned a tweet along with the following image.

“And the last living Founder of the Divine 9 Organizations was made a Mast Mason at Site by The Most Worshipshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland.” Myron J. Covington, the 23rd International Grand Vice Polaris of Iota Phi Theta captioned a photo that he posted to social media.
