The following video is from a 1982 interview with Eartha Kitt where an interviewer repeatedly asks her if she would compromise for a man, and if she loves herself. Her answer is priceless!
Kitt, is best know for her hit song “Santa Baby” and her role as Cat Woman on the 1960s TV version of Batman. She always spoke her mind (sometimes to the detriment to her career), and once made first wife Lady Bird Johnson cry at a White House luncheon when she spoke out about the Vietnam War where she stated: “You send the best of this country off to be shot and maimed. No wonder the kids rebel and take pot.”
