Delta Sigma Theta Hampton Grad Francena McCorory Is Racing For Her 2nd Olympic Gold
Francena McCorory will be competing in the 4×400 relay this Friday in Rio and not only will she be representing the USA, she will be holding it down for her sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Hampton graduates everywhere.
McCorory has won 4×400 relay gold medals for Team USA in the outdoor World Championships in 2011 and in the London Olympic Games in 2012. She has a gold medal from the World Indoor Championships in 2014 for both the 400 and 4×400 relay and she was a silver medalist in the outdoor World Championships in 2013 and 2015 in the 4×400 relay. In 2014, she won the USA Outdoor Championships, running a 49.48.
Here is her Olympic medal:
Francena, 27, is a graduate of Hampton University and a 2011 initiate of Delta Sigma Theta. By quickly checking out her social media pages you will quickly realize that she does not play when it comes to repping her DST.
Check out what she wrote under her post from this year’s Opening Ceremony:
Francena signed with Adidas after college.
She can literally get no more Delta! Her mom is a Delta and her dad is a Que!
Check out this video of her winning the Women’s 400m at Jamaica International Invitational 2016:
We at WatchTheYard.com are HYPED to see her do her thing on Friday!
