Did you know that Nelson Mandela gave the 1991 convocation speech at Texas Southern University?
The following is the video of Mandela giving his speech at Texas Southern University’s convocation in 1991. During his speech Mandela opened up about the late Congressman Mickey Leland who perished in Ethiopia on a humanitarian mission on August 7, 1989 and the contributions of African Americans to the international struggle to end apartheid.
