This Alpha Phi Alpha Masters Graduate Had a Very Special Reason Behind His Celebratory Stroll on Stage

This Alpha man puts on for Ghana, Alpha, his family, and himself on stage. 

This footage was captured at Hampton University. The student is an Alpha man who was initiated at Virginia Tech, was and graduating with his masters degree from Hampton University. The graduation was held on Mother’s Day and unfortunately his mother passed away shortly before he started graduate school at Hampton University.

“I’m overcome with emotion today when I think of how my mother isn’t with me,” he stated. “She had the best seat in the house as she watched both of her sons get their masters this weekend! That’s four degrees, between the both of us mommy. Your journey to America wasn’t in vein… Thank you”
