Black Fraternity and Sorority Members from Arkansas Remake Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ Video And Give Money To Undergrads
A group of close friends who are Black fraternity and sorority members and graduates from the University of Arkansas recently teamed up to create their own scholarship and give back to the students at their alma mater.
The group, which calls themselves The Litty Committee, are a group of friends who all graduated from the University of Arkansas within the last four years. They include DeShaun Artis (Alpha Phi Alpha), Jasmine Block (Delta Sigma Theta), Sharnell Coleman, Lauren Denton (Alpha Kappa Alpha), Laurell King (Alpha Kappa Alpha), Allison Kinsey (Alpha Kappa Alpha) and Micah Minter (Alpha Phi Alpha).
Drawn together by a passion for serving, giving back and having a good time, the friends decided to reach into their own pockets to fund the L.I.T. Scholarship for a deserving student who showed leadership potential by “learning, inspiring and transforming” their community.
Their Spring 2018 scholarship recipient is Di’ Granger, a freshman kinesiology major at the University of Arkansas who received a $700.
After receiving the scholarship, Di’ teamed up with The Litty Committee to help other students on campus. The Committee reached into the scholarship fund to help him bless other students around campus and shot their own version of Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ music video.
“THE BUDGET FOR THIS VIDEO WAS NOT $996,631.90,” the video starts, parodying Drake’s video. “BUT WE GAVE WHAT WE HAD”
