Zeta Phi Beta Sorors in Government Gather on Capitol Hill to Celebrate 105th Founders’ Day

Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. gathered on Capitol Hill to commemorate their 105th Founders’ Day, a milestone marking over a century of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and advocacy. The gathering brought together sorors working in politics, advocacy, and social justice, highlighting the enduring legacy of the sorority’s impact on communities across the nation.

The celebration featured Members of Congress Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-CA) and Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who are sorors, alongside an accomplished group of Zeta Phi Beta members shaping policy and promoting equity from within the halls of government. The event underscored the influence and leadership of Zeta women in shaping the nation’s political landscape.

- Chonya Johnson, a veteran Hill staffer

- Yasmin Behram, staff assistant to Senator Patty Murray (D-WA)
