Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has officially chartered the Phi Alpha Chapter at Stevenson University, marking a historic moment for the campus community in Owings Mills, Maryland.

The chapter was chartered on November 7, 2025, during a ceremony led by Northeastern Region Syntaktes Dawne Stanton and Ms. Candice Franze, the 3rd Anti-Basileus of the Lambda Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Annapolis, Maryland. Fourteen women were introduced as the charter members of the newly established Phi Alpha Chapter:

Ms. Diamond Askins
Ms. Kayla Basnight Mclean
Ms. Tara Etheridge
Ms. Aaliyah Fields
Ms. Taylor Foster
Ms. Jaelyn Gale
Ms. Chandrea Lavarin
Ms. Sandra Matthews
Ms. Jamiah McFadden
Ms. Raven Molick
Ms. Stevie Norris Battle

Ms. Batista Sauls

These dynamic women worked tirelessly to bring Sigma Gamma Rho to Stevenson University, embodying the sorority’s mission of Greater Service, Greater Progress as they laid the foundation for a new legacy of scholarship, sisterhood, and service on campus.

Just weeks later, on November 22, 2025, the university witnessed another milestone as the Fall 2025 TORCH line, known as The RHOyal Genesis, was introduced during their campus presentation. Their unveiling marked the next chapter of growth for Phi Alpha, as the chapter begins its journey rooted in the royal blue and gold.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. celebrates the establishment of its newest collegiate chapter and all eyes are now on Phi Alpha as its members rise, lead, and soar.
