Omega Psi Phi Brothers Mentor 60 Students Through Fatherhood Program in Pattison, Texas

Approximately 60 students participated in a comprehensive mentorship experience when the Epsilon Omicron Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted their annual Fatherhood & Mentoring event on March 3, 2026, in Pattison, Texas. The chapter, based in Katy, Texas, partnered with Royal Elementary School to create what organizers described as “a powerful space for inspiration, guidance, and meaningful connection.”

Eight volunteers, including three chapter members, engaged students in dynamic conversations centered on career pathways, goal setting, and the importance of building strong character. Through personal stories and interactive dialogue, the presenters emphasized that success encompasses not only professional achievement, but also integrity, discipline, respect, and perseverance. Students were encouraged to think boldly about their futures, whether aspiring to become engineers, educators, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, or community leaders, while understanding the value of education in reaching those goals.

The mentorship program reinforced the importance of positive male role models, responsible fatherhood, and mentorship in shaping confident and capable young leaders. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions about character development and the role that strong mentorship plays in personal and academic success.

“When the youth see men who care, listen, and lead with character, it can plant seeds that will help shape their future,” said Barry Bolston, Social Action Committee member of the Epsilon Omicron Graduate Chapter. The chapter’s commitment to providing consistent mentorship demonstrates the lasting impact that positive male role models can have in the lives of young people.

The Fatherhood & Mentoring event represents an annual commitment by the chapter to invest in the next generation of leaders. Through partnerships with local schools and sustained community engagement, the brothers continue to create opportunities for meaningful connections that extend far beyond a single event.
