Houston Is Hosting the 73rd Biennial NPHC National Leadership Conference This Month
Members of the Divine Nine from across the world will be gathering in Houston this month for one of the most important events on the Black Greek calendar: the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. 73rd Biennial National Leadership Conference (NPHC NLC).
Taking place October 30 – November 2, 2025, at the Omni Houston Hotel, this year’s conference is themed “Where Tradition Meets Transformation.” NPHC leaders, members, and partners from across the nation and around the globe will come together for four days of education, empowerment, and excellence.
The conference is designed to strengthen the collective impact of councils and organizations through strategic leadership training for both collegiate and alumni councils, specialized workshops on governance, compliance, advocacy, and financial operations, as well as dynamic plenary sessions led by national thought leaders and public officials. The gathering will also feature recognition of outstanding councils and members at the NPHC Awards Gala, exclusive networking and partnership opportunities, and civic engagement initiatives that advance NPHC’s mission of service and advocacy.
Adding to the significance of this year’s conference, Watch The Yard founder Jonathan Rabb will deliver the keynote speech at the Collegiate Breakfast on Saturday, offering student leaders insights on leveraging digital platforms, leadership, and service to amplify the impact of their organizations.
NPHC has also announced two major keynote speakers for this year’s program. Roland Martin (Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.) will serve as the keynote speaker for the Public Meeting on October 31 at 6 p.m., which is free and open to the general public. Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.), President of the National Council of Negro Women, will deliver the keynote address at the Social Justice Luncheon, which will also feature a panel discussion. Tickets for both the luncheon and the Collegiate Breakfast are available for purchase until October 10.
Beyond workshops and leadership sessions, attendees will enjoy signature cultural events. The highly anticipated Dreams & Nightmares: Greek Comedy & Step Show promises a night of laughs and high-energy performances. Hosted by comedian Christopher Columbus (Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.), the show will feature special performances by Kelly Kelz (Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.) and D’Lai (Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.).
“Our National Leadership Conference is important as we work to recharge our batteries as community leaders and provide our local councils with innovative strategies, training, and ideas that empower them to continue to lead nationwide with impact, while helping to shape a better world,” said Dr. RJ Johnson, NPHC National 1st Vice President.
“I am ecstatic to invite you to join me in Houston, Texas, where the 73rd Biennial National Leadership Conference of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.® will be held from October 30 – November 2, 2025,” Johnson added.
Donna Jones Anderson, National President of NPHC, shared her excitement about the gathering:
“We are thrilled to welcome Sorors and Fraters from across the nation who are excited to convene, connect, and contribute to the forward progress of our beloved council. During our time together, I am confident that we will grow stronger together. As we continue to advance NPHC’s programs of service and advocacy, now is the time for us to gather and galvanize our collective impact on our communities, our nation, and the world. We will uplift and celebrate those councils, Fraters, and Sorors who are seizing this moment to make a difference and we will share strategies to help all of us deliver on the promises of our mission.”
Whether attending as a first-time delegate or returning leader, participants will gain transformative insights to elevate their councils, sharpen their leadership, and expand their networks. Registration is still open and can be completed here.
