Iota Phi Theta Elects Orlando Grant as the 24th International Grand Polaris and Eric McCoy as the 24th International Grand Vice Polaris

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. has officially entered a new era of leadership with the election of Brother Orlando Grant as the 24th International Grand Polaris and Brother Eric McCoy as the 24th International Grand Vice Polaris.

The election which took place at the fraternity’s conclave in Indianapolis, signals a major moment for the fraternity as it continues its legacy of leadership, service, and strategic growth.

Orlando Grant was initiated in 1995 at the Beta Pi Chapter at The University of Akron. Eric McCoy was also initiated in 1995, at the Alpha Chapter at Morgan State University. Together, they bring over 60 years of combined fraternal experience and nearly 50 years of executive leadership across nonprofit, government, and philanthropic sectors.

“Winning the election is both an incredible honor and a profound responsibility,” said Grant. “I envision Iota growing stronger, more unified, and more impactful than ever before. Our focus for the fraternity includes building sustainable operations, expanding membership through strategic recruitment and retention, and increasing public awareness of the significant contributions Iota men make in their communities. Under their administration, the fraternity will focus on strengthening operational systems, supporting member recruitment and retention, and broadening its footprint nationally and internationally. They also aim to increase brand visibility and highlight Iota Phi Theta’s continued service, particularly in areas like economic empowerment.
