Did you know that Garrett Morgan, the inventor who crafted the first traffic light was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha?
Morgan is an honorary Pi Chapter initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was a prolific inventor who is remembered for the safety devices that he created himself.

His most known inventions were the safety hood and the three-way traffic signal provided the basis for designs we still use today. He also discovered a chemical hair-processing and straightening solution. He saw success through his hair product inventions that he coupled with a complete line of hair-care products.
