US Track Champion Chryste Gaines Is A Member Of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Did you know that Olympic gold medalist Chryste Gaines is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha? Gaines pledged the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Chryste Gaines was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1992. In addition, she earned her MBA from Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University in 2007. She competed mainly in the 4×100 meters relay.
Gaines was the 1987-88 Gatorade National Track & Field Athlete of the Year. In 2018, she was named to the 10-person inaugural class of the Dallas Independent School District’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
