North Carolina A&T’s Spring 2013 AKAs Celebrated Their 10th AKAversary In Cartagena, Colombia

The Spring 2013 line of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. from North Carolina A&T State University celebrated their 10 year anniversary by flying to Cartagena, Colombia for a sisterhood trip.

“It’s important to take sisterhood trips like this to continue to deepen our bond and love for each other. We are spread out across the world and trips like these help bring us together to catch up, spend time with each other, love on each and most importantly serve our community,” one of the sorors, Cheri Farrior, told Watch The Yard.

“After a decade of shared experiences and growth, sisterhood has evolved into an unbreakable bond. The laughter, tears, and support has allowed us to have a deep connection that weaves our lives together. It means having a tribe that understands not only who we were, but also who we’ve become.”

The sorors took colorful photos around the city with photographer @Luxetribes.

“Sisterhood for our line means a shared connection to Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. and love for one another. It means being there for each other during the high times and low times throughout our lifetimes and coming together to better our community,” Farrior stated.

We at Watch The Yard love to see lines connecting and traveling the world together to celebrate their sisterhood and reconnect.
