Black Greekdom Mourns the Passing of Kappa Alpha Psi’s Da’Quan Ayers
Black greekdom is mourning the loss of a young leader taken too soon.
Da’Quan Ayers of Kansas City, Missouri, a journalism and broadcasting major at Lincoln University and a proud Spring ’24 initiate of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., has died following a tragic car accident. According to KWOS, Ayers was killed Wednesday in an accident on Highway 54 at Monticello Road.

On campus, Ayers was more than a student. He was a leader.
The brothers of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi shared the news of his passing and honored his memory in a heartfelt statement:

As we honor Da’Quan’s life and the light he brought to his campus and his brotherhood, we ask the Watch The Yard community to keep his family, friends, classmates, and his fraternity brothers in your prayers.
A young life full of promise has transitioned, but the love he poured into others will continue to echo through every space he touched. May his loved ones find strength in one another, comfort in their memories, and peace in knowing that his impact will never be forgotten.
