NPHC Undergraduate Leadership Council to Host “Greeks in Government” National Virtual Panel

The NPHC Undergraduate Leadership Council is hosting a national virtual program titled “Greeks in Government,”bringing together members of the Divine Nine who are currently working in public policy, government, and civic engagement.

The event will take place on January 22, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST and is designed to educate, empower, and inspire NPHC-affiliated collegiates who are interested in public service, leadership, and advocacy. Through an interactive discussion, panelists will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how government functions and how Divine Nine members are shaping policy at the local, state, and federal levels.

The panel will feature representatives from all four Divine Nine sororities, including:

  • Beverly Fields of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
  • Demetria L. McCain of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
  • Regina Young of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
  • Haley Taylor Schlitz, ESQ. of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Panelists include public policy professionals, legislative aides, council members, state representatives, attorneys, and other leaders actively engaged in government and civic action. Together, they will share their personal journeys, professional experiences, and insights into navigating careers in public service as members of Black Greek-letter organizations.

In addition to learning how government works, attendees will gain insight into key 2026 policy issues impacting college campuses and surrounding communities, as well as practical ways to remain civically engaged beyond the program. The event will also include a live Q&A, allowing participants to ask questions directly and hear firsthand from Divine Nine leaders serving on the front lines of policy and governance.

The program is open to all NPHC-affiliated collegiates and those interested in government, leadership, and advocacy. Pre-registration is required, CLICK HERE to RSVP.
