It is true! Four African presidents and one from the United States of America each decided that they wanted to be members and rep the Blu-Phi!

Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe
Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe who served as the first President of Nigeria after it was given independence from Great Britain in 1960. He crossed at the Mu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma at Lincoln University.
Kwame Nkrumah
Kwame Nkrumah was the leader of Ghana and its predecessor state, the Gold Coast, from 1951 to 1966. He became the first Prime Minister of the Gold Coast in 1951, and led it to independence as Ghana in 1957, becoming the new country’s first Prime Minister. After Ghana became a republic in 1960, Nkrumah became President. An influential 20th-century advocate of Pan-Africanism, he was a founding member of the Organization of African Unity and was the winner of the Lenin Peace Prize in 1963. He crossed at the Mu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma at Lincoln University. Nkrumah served as an inspiration to Martin Luther King, who often looked to Nkrumah’s leadership as an example of nonviolent activism.
William Richard Tolbert, Jr.
William Richard Tolbert, Jr. was the 20th President of Liberia from 1971 until 1980, when he was killed in a coup d’état. Tolbert was born in Bensonville, Liberia. An Americo-Liberian, he was the grandson of a former American slave from South Carolina who emigrated to Liberia in the Liberian exodus of 1878. The Tolbert clan was one of the largest Americo-Liberian families in Liberia. Tolbert joined Phi Beta Sigma through the Beta Upsilon Sigma Chapter located in Monrovia, Liberia.
William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman
William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman (November 29, 1895 – July 23, 1971) was a Liberian politician. He was the 19th President of Liberia, serving from his election in 1944 until his death in 1971. Tubman is regarded as the “father of modern Liberia.”
Bill Clinton
The 42nd Presidednt of the United States of America. He became an honorary Sigma in 2009.
