Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. has graduated the second cohort of its Sigma Justice Alliance Boot Camp, recognizing 33 brothers from five regions during a virtual commencement ceremony held on May 19, 2026.
The boot camp is a partnership between Phi Beta Sigma and ARISE Group Inc. that trains brothers to lead community work focused on public safety, education, and social justice. Cohort II completed a series of intensive H.E.A.R.D. modules covering mental wellness and Black men’s mental health, policy development and accountability, organizing and mobilizing, building people-powered campaigns, measuring impact, data limitations, and campus and community safety.
“This initiative represents the very essence of Phi Beta Sigma’s mission—moving from awareness to action and from intention to measurable impact,” said David A. Turner, International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. “Through the Sigma Justice Alliance, our brothers are prepared to lead with purpose, advocate effectively, and strengthen the communities we serve.”
The Cohort II graduates are now equipped to take legislative and advocacy actions at the local level, build community partnerships, and expand the work of Phi Beta Sigma across the country.
