Actor and Playwright Javon Johnson Becomes a Member of Phi Beta Sigma Through the Fraternity’s Alpha Lambda Sigma Chapter

Javon Johnson, an award-winning actor and playwright, has been initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. through the Alpha Lambda Sigma Chapter in Greenville, South Carolina.

Johnson was initiated under the guidance of the chapter’s Vice President Roderick Houston and Secretary Vincent Fripp. He crossed as the Ace of his line, P.L.O.T. Twist, and received the line name “Unwritten Authority.” He joined the fraternity through its traditional membership intake process.

Johnson’s career spans stage, film, and television. On screen, he has appeared in Barbershop, The Hate U Give, Survivor’s Remorse, and Tyler Perry’s The Oval. He is the creator of the gospel stage production Sanctified, which has been performed nationally and internationally, along with several other theatrical productions.

He is also the founder of the Javon Johnson Actor’s Workshop, which provides aspiring performers with training, mentorship, and professional development, and he works as a consultant and entrepreneur developing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives with organizations.
