Malorie Bailey Inducted as Honorary Member of Sigma Gamma Rho

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has inducted media personality, entrepreneur, and health advocate Malorie Bailey as an Honorary Member. The sorority announced the induction today, Friday, July 24, 2026, during its 61st Biennial Boule in Tampa, Florida.

Malorie Bailey is a nationally recognized media personality who became known to audiences through The Real Housewives of Atlanta. An actress and author, she has built a public platform around health education for women of color.

Much of Bailey’s advocacy centers on uterine fibroid awareness, an issue she came to through her own experience. She discovered she had fibroids in 2013 after two miscarriages, first undergoing a myomectomy and later a uterine fibroid embolization. She and her sister Cynthia Bailey have since served as ambassadors for fibroid awareness, sharing their story to help other women understand their treatment options.

Bailey is also an entrepreneur and the founder of Mal’s Custom Jewelry, a business she launched in 2011 that creates custom and awareness-themed pieces for organizations and foundations. Her work in the space has earned recognition, including a 2014 fashion award and a 2016 nomination for the Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs Awards.

Bailey was inducted as part of Sigma Gamma Rho’s Honorary Membership Class of 2026, a group of women recognized during the 2026 Boule Honorary Membership Ceremony for achievements spanning sports, entertainment, education, public service, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and global humanitarian work.

The ceremony took place as Sigma Gamma Rho gathered in Tampa, Florida, for its 61st Biennial Boule under International President Marica T. Harris. In announcing the class, Harris said the 2026 honorees “embody the spirit of service, the power of purpose,” carrying forward the sorority’s mission of Greater Service, Greater Progress.
