This weekend at the 60th International Biennial Boule in Houston, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly inducted Rebekah Borucki as one of their honorary members.
Borucki is a multifaceted leader, serving as the founder of BexLife® and Row House Publishing, a mother of five, a meditation guide, a birth doula, a mentor for creative healers, and an author and publisher of books for readers of all ages. For over a decade, Borucki has taught meditation to hundreds of thousands of individuals online and in live workshops. She believes that wellness is a social and racial justice issue, and her mission is to make mental-health support and stress-management tools accessible to all, especially the most vulnerable.
As a mentor, Borucki guides her clients in creating books and brand presences from the ground up, leading to publishing contracts with major houses like Simon & Schuster and Hay House. She is published by Hay House, the Quarto Publishing Group, and her own imprint, Wheat Penny Press (WPP), a children’s imprint of Row House Publishing, which she founded in 2020.
Borucki’s commitment to community service is evident through her founding of the WPP Little Readers Big Change Initiative, Inc., a publicly-funded nonprofit providing free books, mental wellness tools, and writing workshops for students in grades PreK-8, public libraries, and community organizations. Her professional journey blends innovation and advocacy, driving positive change in publishing and beyond, with a strong belief that literacy is critical to overall mental health and well-being.
In addition to Rebekah Borucki, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. also inducted twelve other remarkable women as honorary members: Krystal Harris, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Bianca Knight, Sharon Moody, LaTavia Roberson, Kim Roxie, April Showers, Kera Wright, Bettina Benson, Jackie Chambers de Freitas, Kelley Gay, and Dwan Martin.
