Spelman Extends Spring Break and Announces Move to Remote Learning For Remainder of Semester Due to Coronavirus

Spelman College is one of the many HBCUs to take preventative measures to protect their students, staff and faculty from the spread of the coronavirus.

The college recently released a list of precautions that it is taking which includes extending spring break a week, moving to remote learning until the end of the semester and suspending a college sponsored travel.

Other HBCUs around the country are also taking similar measures to protect their students. Jackson State University and Lincoln University of Missouri have both extended their spring breaks and Lane College is one of the many HBCUs that is moving to remote classes due to the virus.
